our company

CMW is the new kid on the block, ready to push the boundaries of design and fabrication in the NZ BBQ scene.

Two unlikely personalities - both with a passion for engineering, design, and cooking over flame - have teamed up to turn a hobbie into a boutique business focusing on design and quality, of market leading pits and braziers.

Iain the clean skin product development engineer with 18 years in the industry has teamed up with Kieron the tattooed ex military engineer with a decade of heavy fabrication experience to form the perfect team dynamic for producing high end solid fuel pits and braziers.

Based in a small workshop on Broadlands Road Taupo, an idea sparked and Carbon Metal Works was born.
